From the time I was a child, I knew that I was meant to create.
Poetry, screenplays, books, music; I was drawn to it as if I was a magnet. Creativity has defined my life. I can’t think of a single moment in my life where I was drawn more to sports or math or science than I was to theater and music and art. There’s something about the creative things that draw people together. Real change can be made through music, stories can be told through art, lessons can be learned through theater.
When I discovered Interior Design, suddenly everything fit together. I was meant to create, and now I had a way to help people while doing it.
I truly believe that everyone, regardless of background, deserves to live in a space designed to fit them perfectly and it is my goal as a designer to provide accessibility to beautiful, sustainable design to as many people as I can. Thus, Virago Design Studio was born.
Design is a delicate practice and requires an observant eye, patience, and humility. It is a career in which one can continue learning for the rest of their life. It is so much more than just making a space beautiful. It’s creating timeless, functional, and breathing spaces that will be returned to time and time again.
